It’s been awhile since the Blue Devils clashed with the Cavaliers and it’s fair to note that we couldn’t wait. The Blue Devils won back in October in their meeting on the gridiron, but the Cavs certainly won the fall when one looks back upon the success of both teams. That being said, Lake Fenton, as of right now, has the last laugh. Neither teams thus far have been so called “outstanding” but this game meant a lot to both teams and communities. For instance, the pep band came out of the woodworking tonight to showcase their home debut. I might seem repetitive with this “painting the picture”, but just bear with me for a minute for those that need the picture painted. Jason Beldyga was hot on the tunes as always, but how about a new soundtrack? 2010 Wiz Khalifa gets a little repetitive after the 9th game, don’t ya think? But that’s not my internal problem! Let Jason Beldyga do Jason Beldyga type things. Alumni were in full attendance tonight to view this heated rivalry. Although they looked half-homeless, we appreciate having them there in attendance.
Let’s dive headfirst into the game as I cut straight to the chase. Lake Fenton wins on a buzzer beater. There you go, I said it. It hurt flowing through the keyboard, but it happened and I’m a sports reporter so I write it as it exactly as is. After the game, there was a small confrontation on the court between a Lake Fenton lumberjack and the Cavalier student section. The lumberjack, Abraham Forester (yes, this is his legitimate name…no joke), ran over to the student section and started taunting the students with his jersey name. Mind you, Forrester’s team is average (at best), therefore everyone was somewhat puzzled as to what led him to his actions. I’m not gonna lie to my readers and say that I wasn’t a little bit confused for this poor guy. If it gets the lumberjack excited to flash his Russel brand jersey, then so be it, but if you ever catch me doing that, definitely confront me.
What a time to be a Cavalier!
